Guidelines for the Implementation of HB 91
The passage of 2008's House Bill 91, also known as the Bullying Bill, requires that KDE provide guidance on implementation of the law's requirements. School districts can find information about the law, assistance on fulfilling its requirements and downloads of guidelines and model policies here.

Seventy Percent of Kentucky Public Schools Make AYP
Data indicate that 70.9 percent -- 820 -- of Kentucky's 1,157 public schools made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in the 2007-08 school year under the requirements of the federal No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act, the Kentucky Department of Education announced today. School Performance Data to be Released
The Kentucky Department of Education will release data related to the federal No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act and the Commonwealth Accountability Testing System (CATS) during August and September. On Tuesday, August 5, NCLB data was publicly released at 8 a.m. EDT. On Wednesday, September 10, at 12:01 a.m. EDT, data from the 2008 administration of the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) will be publicly released. See press release.
