I've been asked by Kentucky Child Now! to share the following information with you. For more information, please contact Doris Settles, Kentucky Child Now!, (502) 227-7722, e-mail dorissettles@kychildnow.org.
Kentucky Child Now!, along with the Kentucky Office of the Attorney General and the Kentucky Department of Education, sponsors i-Jam, an initiative designed to provide resources and information to help keep children safe in the online, virtual world.
The 2008 i-Jam Internet Safety Conference is set for Nov. 24 and 25 at the Lexington Downtown Hotel and Conference Center. The conference is a highly interactive and engaging two-day event designed to help Kentuckians take charge of their virtual lives. Through a collaboration of presentations and workshops, participants will gain a variety of tools and principles to aide in training and supporting youth as they learn to live in this blended physical and virtual environment.
Registration is $90 per person and includes conference sessions, one continental breakfast, two lunches and conference materials. EILA and CRP credits are available.
