All of Kentucky schools will enjoy a healthy environment including the physical, emotional and social climate of the school.  Schools are designed to provide a safe physical plant, as well as a healthy and supportive environment that fosters learning.

 

Safe and Drug Free Schools - Kentucky's Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities (SDFSC) program provides funding to local school districts in an effort to support substance abuse and violence reduction programming

 

Kentucky Center for School Safety - Through its partner agencies, the Kentucky Center for School Safety will provide training in best and promising practices with regard to supporting students, teachers, and other school and community providers.

 

KDPH Tobacco Prevention & Cessation Program - the state's Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program mission is to reduce preventable and premature deaths attributed to tobacco by implementing programs to decrease tobacco use and exposure to secondhand tobacco smoke.
