Do all of your teachers consistently use best practices in the classroom?  Do they use positive reinforcement and emphasize high levels of thinking?  Are their lessons well planned, aligned, and differentiated?  Is your building a safe, secure, and sanitary learning environment?  Regardless of the answers to these questions...how do you know?

The Kentucky Department of Education has available a system which will allow you to gather data to help you answer these questions - accurate, relevant, contemporary data that can help you make good decisions in a timely manner.  Solid data which can assist you in beginning critical conversations that matter, that incorporated into your professional learning community will help to improve teaching and learning in your school.  We have contracted with Media-X Systems to provide a web-based walkthrough program called "eWalk".  It enables swift and easy data collection, instant analysis and colorful, comprehensive reporting.  Most important, it allows you to design and use the instruments you need for collecting comprehensive data to improve teaching and learning.
