KETS History - Milestones of Success

2007 Accomplishments In 2007, the districts and state have accomplished a great deal.  It is through the cooperation of all districts that the following have been accomplished:

1.       Installed a brand new technology highway (Kentucky Education Network) to all districts in 11 months

 

2.       Deployed of over 42 Million dollars worth of  new Instructional Devices (IDU project) with provisions for personal purchases for the home.

KETS Network  Phil Coleman - Division Director in the Office of Education Technology offers a perspective of how far the Commonwealth has come in the evolution of education technology.

Dial Up Services In July 2008, OET said goodbye to a faithful friend. After 15 years our dial up service has been replaced by faster less expensive but no more reliable technology  See OET "pull the plug" as you hear Phil Coleman's  historic perspective. (7:00)
