(FRANKFORT, Ky.) –The Kentucky Department of Education will release 2006-07 nonacademic data for public schools on Wednesday, May 28.
The data will be available on the department’s Web site here at 8 a.m. EDT.
Nonacademic data is comprised of dropout, graduation, retention, attendance and successful transition to adult life rates. Each rate contributes a specific percentage to a school's overall accountability index.
The release of nonacademic data is one component of the Commonwealth Accountability Testing System (CATS). The other component -- the Kentucky Core Content Test (KCCT) results -- will be released in early fall. Reading and mathematics information from the KCCT will be released in August to comply with federal NCLB mandates.
