More Reading Strategies in Action is a CD-ROM-based professional development tool from the Kentucky Department of Education produced by Kentucky Educational Television. This tool showcases videotaped examples of excellent teachers modeling strategies that help students in grades 6-10 improve their comprehension of informational texts. Before you begin using the content CDs, open "Getting Started" (the lime green disc) for important technical information. The "Getting Started" CD also has a guide to the contents of each disc and printable versions of a glossary, bibliography, and a guide to the effective use of MRSIA in three professional development models: study group, department/content team, and individual.
