TeacherLine: Seeing Math $
Seeing Math™ is a series of innovative, online professional-development courses that make challenging mathematical concepts visual, relevant, and easier to teach. These courses are designed for in-service and pre-service teachers of mathematics, grades 6-12.
Nine key topics are addressed in these five-week courses:
Linear Functions, Transformations of Linear Functions, Linear Equations, Systems of Linear Equations, Proportional Reasoning, Quadratic Functions, Transformations of Quadratic Functions, Quadratic Equations, and Data Analysis
Learners should expect to spend 4-6 hours per week working on course material. The cost per course is $199. (This could be useful for special needs teachers who are not comfortable with math and will be responsible for resource classrooms and for MAT program teachers who may need a refresher).
