This standards-based unit, "The History and Nature of Science," was developed by the Kentucky Department of Education to introduce high school students to the idea of how scientists work and how to conduct experiments/investigations. It was originally developed around the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair hosted by Kentucky in 2002, but can be easily modified to be used with or without a trip to a science fair.
